While watching TV, sometimes I struggle to hear the dialogue from my couch. Even with surround sound, I really wish I had a speaker directly in front on me. Luckily I found this wireless speaker made by Serene Innovations. It's a pretty versatile!

It's rechargeable and comes with it's own docking base. On the base, you could plug in an RCA or auxiliary mini-jack. It's great for TVs because there's no latency. There's no audio and video delay from what I could tell.
SPEAKER PORTS What's even cooler is the speaker itself has it's own auxiliary port and (even) a headphone jack. Having an on board auxiliary allows you to plug in sources on the fly - such as a Tablet or Phone. While the headphone jack is great if you don't want disturb others. TONES Above the ports is a toggle switch for different tones (low, medium and high). High is great for podcasts or dramas - anything with a lot of dialogue. Medium is good for music or action movies. Low, I'm not sure too sure what it's best for. It's a little too low for music - but still, it's nice to have that option. PORTABLE MUSIC SPEAKER I actually bought of two of these. One dedicated for the TV and the other I use as a portable music speaker. It's great because I could take this anywhere around the house. Like when I take a shower, when I make lunch in kitchen, the garage, my office, etc. It's very light and portable. Best of all, it has a small footprint and it could fit just about anywhere. Pair this speaker up with a Chromecast Audio and you could stream to multiple speakers at once. This also works pretty well with a bluetooth receiver. PROS The things I love about it are it's very useful. It's compact, lightweight and very easy to use. I even like the old school, clickly knob which reminds me of old radios. It's very easy to setup - pretty much plug and play. It also works while it's being charged. It also comes with cables to get you going. CONS Things that could be better is probably the sound. For the price, I wish it has a little more power. But then again (considering the size) it pretty much sounds the way you would expect. If you pushed the volume too loud it can quickly get distorted. But it's definitely good enough for being such a portable device. It's not ugly per se, but I guess it could look a little cooler - everytime I pick it up it reminds me of an Iron LOL. So far the reception has been pretty solid. Initially, it would break up from time to time, but I think that was because it wasn't fully charged when I first opened it up. That or my WIFI signals might have been interfering. But it seems to be good now. CONCLUSION But yeah, I definitely recommend this. Probably not for audiophiles but for people what want an extra bit of umph from their TV or Phones. |
